What Brought Lillian Garcia Back To Monday Night RAW?
WWE

You may have missed a cool cameo, but we will catch you up by answering what brought Lillian Garcia back to Monday Night RAW?

As wrestling fans, we love a good cameo. In most instances, we are talking about some nostalgia act or maybe someone who isn’t yet retired coming back for some fun. We have had quite a few in 2024. We got an extended run from The Rock, for example. There were also awesome appearances by John Cena and The Undertaker and Bubba Dudley at WrestleMania 40. But every so often, we get something a bit more nuanced. A smaller personality, perhaps, but one that will still pop the crowds.

And for those of us watching RAW on May 13th, we got just that. In the middle of the show, current ring announcer supreme Samantha Irvin announced that Lillian Garcia would bring out the next match. WWE fans remember Garcia as a previous voice of RAW ring announcements. Her voice was tied to many iconic entrances and big wins. But, Lillian Garcia stepped away from WWE in 2016 to focus on her singing career. Of course, WWE has long had iconic voices, and she used her visit to put over a pair.

Welcome Back!

WWE recently shuffled some of the announcers. Samantha Irvin had been working all over, including both nights of ‘Mania. Now she calls Monday Night RAW. Garcia also heaped praise on the new voice of SmackDown, Alicia Taylor. While Garcia blazed the trail, both Irvin and Taylor are proudly and strongly carrying on the tradition. But as for what brought Lillian back? According to Garcia, as covered by Wrestling Inc, she happened to be in Greenville, South Carolina. With RAW in town too, the stars had aligned and it just made too much sense.

Was it some awesome return or Rock-like cameo? No, but the crowd appreciated seeing Lillian Garcia back on RAW. And hearing her announce the participants was as sweet as always.
