Hearts manager Eva Olid believes Celtic will win the title over their rivals, theRangers Women…

After Hearts’ defeat to Celtic FC Women at Celtic Park last weekend , Eva Olid spoke to the media, including The Celtic Star. Eva was asked who she thinks is the better team between Celtic and theRangers, she said:

“Celtic. And so clear. I see more exciting football. They play more of a possession game and have technical players with a lot of quality. They are working together and you can see that they’re so ready. I think that this year is Celtic’s year.”

And with how things are shaping up right now, and recent form, I think she may be right. This year is certainly looking promising for Celtic’s title hopes as they look to make amends for the last-minute title loss that we were victim to last year.

The Hearts manager has seen both teams from the touchline and she even managed to get one over on Rangers. After playing both teams in such a short space of time, her conclusion might be one worth listening to.

Olid’s side lost 5-0 to Celtic FC Women at Celtic Park on Sunday, a result that saw the Ghirls continue to lead the SWPL table. Two points are separating Celtic and theRangers, with 16 goal difference adding to the Celts’ advantage.

Although we’ll have to wait a while longer to see how the table will eventually pan out, you won’t have to wait long before Celtic are back in action in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park this Saturday lunchtime.

Facing off against theRangers at Hampden this Saturday, the Ghirls will be looking for a victory over their rivals to progress to the final of the Scottish Cup. Not only could a win for the Hoops give them a chance at another piece of silverware, but it could also give them a mental advantage over their title contenders.

Celtic FC Women are looking to defend the Women’s Scottish Cup for the third season in a row so get down to Hampden on Saturday and make some noise for Elena Sadiku’s side!
